Hayley joined the RCD in 2022, holding a B.S. in Environmental Management and Protection with a focus on Natural Resources Planning from Humboldt State University. Before working with the Coastal RCD, she worked with the Watershed Stewards Program, monitoring steelhead populations along the Big Sur Coast and in Northern San Luis Obispo watersheds. Hayley's work includes projects spanning healthy soils and climate resilience, water quality and habitat improvement, monarch and pollinator habitat enhancement, and watershed restoration. She's passionate about supporting local agriculture and land uses while balancing conservation for sustainable and resilient communities. Beyond her professional life, Hayley enjoys cooking, enjoying the outdoor spaces of the Central Coast with friends and family, and traveling.
